Rehearsals are Wednesday and Friday of each week starting on Wed., October 27th, from 8:00-8:40 a.m. on the stage.  

Students should be dropped off in front of the school at 8:00, entering through the Intermediate front doors.  DOORS WILL OPEN at 8 AM PRECISELY.  

Recognizing that this timing may be difficult for some families, when you fill out the google form to register, please indicate if you need assistance or can provide it (many students will carpool in some fashion).  At rehearsal’s end, students return to their regular classrooms before the tardy bell.

Early, full band rehearsals are in addition to your child’s in-school group class where he/she learns individual instrument techniques.   Those class lessons will continue during the intervention block using the same “color” day rotation schedule.  (Please remind your student that instruments are never to be left in the school overnight; it is neither safe nor secure.)

As outlined in the Band Contract, early band rehearsals are extra credit.  Although Early Band is optional, it is mandatory for those who wish to participate in concerts.  Students should attend as many rehearsals as possible, with a minimum of 75% of all rehearsals required to be eligible for performances.  The first concert will be shared with all 5th grade general music classes and is Wed., Dec.8th at 7:30 p.m. in the elementary gymnasium.
