Our students are joining St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in the fight against childhood cancer by participating in a Math-A-Thon the week of February 24th in class.  This week-long event will help kids refine their academic skills while teaching them that they have the power to help others.  Your involvement is a big part of making this program a success, and participation is easy.  To register, go to; click on "Find Your School" and then "Register".  You can also encourage your family and friends to donate online. Additional information regarding this event will be coming home with your child.  If you choose to participate, we ask that you submit your donation online - we are not able to accept checks unless they are made out to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.  If you receive cash donations from family/friends, we ask that you please submit one check made payable to "St. Jude Children's Research Hospital". Thank you for helping the kids of St. Jude!

Buckeye Primary School will be selling pretzels for our Spring Fundraiser.  Opt-out forms will be coming home on Friday, February 21st that need to be completed and turned in by Wednesday, February 26th if you do not want your child to participate.  All past due fees must be paid in order for your child to participate.  Pretzels will be sent home with students on Wednesday, March 4th. You may sell multiple boxes of pretzels, however we must receive payment for first box prior to giving a second box.  Also, we will need either a permission slip or note from parent requesting another box of pretzels. Please make checks payable to:  Buckeye Primary School.  If you have any further questions, feel free to contact the office at 330-722-8257 ext. 4137.

We cannot accept returned boxes of opened pretzels.

Colds, flu, fever and other contagious diseases are a serious issue in a school environment because they can spread so rapidly.  Parents, please keep your child home if they have a fever or are showing symptoms of an illness.  A child needs to be fever, diarrhea and vomit free for 24 hours before they can return to school.  Also, if they have tested positive for strep, they need to be on antibiotics for a full 24 hours before they can return.  Thank you for adhering to our policy

If you plan on picking your child up after school, please send a note in with your child so their teacher and office staff are aware.  The car rider placard's purpose is to help our staff identify which car the child is to get into - we still need to receive communication from you that your child will be picked up.  If you are picking your child up on a permanent basis, we will accept a note covering the entire school year or a specific time period.

Per Board policy, photos of students within the classroom are not to be taken without the permission of the teacher.  In addition to this policy, we request that photos not be published on any social media website.
