New
Student Group: This group is for any student that is new to Buckeye. The
group meets on a schedule that best meets the needs of the student and
teacher.
Better
Choices Group: This group is for students who need a little extra
“guidance” throughout the school year. This group will be
offered ever nine weeks and students are welcome to continue throughout the
school year. The group focuses on a variety of topics including anger
management, self-esteem, social skills, and organization.
York and Liverpool Student Awards:
The
elementary schools have implemented a program to encourage positive
behavior.
Star
Student Award: Each month teachers nominate on student that has shown
some type of overall improvement in school (grades, attitudes, citizenship,
organization, etc.). These students will be rewarded in the following ways:
name announced during morning announcements, letter sent home to parents,
picture taken and displayed in the front lobby, name listed in the Buckeye
Pride Newsletter, and lunch with the principal.
