Open Enrollment Information
OPEN ENROLLMENT APPLICATION PERIOD FOR THE 2025-26 SCHOOL YEAR
March 1, 2025 - June 2, 2025.
"The Buckeye Local School Board of Education shall permit the enrollment of students from any Ohio district in a school or program of this District, provided each enrollment is in accordance with laws and regulations of the State concerning Inter-District Open Enrollment, the provisions of this policy, and the administrative guidelines established to implement this policy."
Application Procedures: Annually, the district will inform residents about open enrollment options, including deadlines. Interested parents may request information/application materials from the Superintendent's Office. Student(s) MUST be registered in his/her district of residence BEFORE making an application for Open Enrollment.
Deadlines:
March 1st, 2025- RENEWAL APPLICATIONS will be emailed to existing open enrolled families annually. NEW APPLICANTS can access the application HERE.
May 2nd, 2025 (first Friday in May)- deadline for online applications for existing open enrolled students.
June 1st, 2025- ALL outstanding school fees MUST be paid prior to this date for returning open enrolled applicants in order to be considered for open enrollment for the upcoming school year! Fees can be paid to your student's school office or online at www.payschoolscentral.com.
June 2nd, 2025- deadline for application for NEW applicants. (Late applications are NOT accepted)
August 1st, 2025- ALL open enrollment decisions will be made by the district and parents will be notified no later than August 1st.
Open enrollment acceptance is for one school year only. Application will need to be made for continued acceptance annually.
Buckeye Local School District requires inter-district, open enrollment parents/guardians to provide transportation for their children to and from school.
No student shall be denied admission to Buckeye Local School District based on reasons of race, color, national origin, gender, handicap or any other basis of unlawful discrimination.
