Superintendent's Message

January 2025

Happy New Year to all students, staff, parents, and community members of the Buckeye Local
Schools. I hope 2025 brings joy, peace, safety and happiness to everyone, and a continued
successful school year for all.

As we move through January and the winter months, I continue to urge caution and safety as
our students and staff come to and from campus daily. We want everyone at school each school
day. Sometimes to make that happen during the winter, a bit more time and patience is needed.
Please give yourself and the students as much time as needed to insure safe arrival and
dismissal from school. I also ask for patience and understanding as our bus drivers,
maintenance personnel, and custodial staff also work through the cold and wintery conditions.
They do a great job keeping everyone safe.

Since November 2024, I have been asked the status of our facility plans by many people. I
promise much information will be coming soon and will continue through May and the rest of the
calendar year. Our facility issues have not gone away and addressing and fixing them continue
to be a priority of mine and all our staff. We must find a path to new and updated facilities for our
students, staff, and community. I am very confident we will be able to do so in 2025, with of
course all your help.

Thank you for allowing me the honor and privilege of being your Superintendent. Let’s have a
great month of January and a great kick off to 2025. Hopefully 2025 will always be remembered
as the year the district moved forward into the future in amazing fashion.

• No School - Martin Luther King Jr. Day, January 20
• Spring Conferences:

                High School - January 29 & February 13
                Junior High - January 29 & February 13
                Elementary - January 30

• 2025-2026 Little Bucks Preschool Screening
• Sign Ups for peer role models opened January 6, 2025
• The screenings take place on March 7, 14, and 21 (if necessary). Families will be notified of acceptance by April 4, 2025.
