The 2026/2027 school year is off to a great start. Our students have returned to school happy
and eager to learn and to be with their friends. Our great teachers are excited to be back in the
classroom working with the students, and the dedicated non-teaching staff and administration is
busy supporting everything that benefits the students. Thank you to all parents and guardians
for sending your children to our school district. As we continue to “Build Buckeye” we promise
to teach the students well, take care of them, do all we can to keep them safe, and to help them
Believe, Empower, and Achieve. Those three important words are the driving force of the
culture of Buckeye, and we are dedicated to making sure our students succeed and have a
great school experience.

Our “Portrait of a Buck” identifies the traits we want all our students to attain while at Buckeye.
We believe in teaching our students to be Critical Thinkers, great Communicators, to
Persevere, to be Socially Aware, to have Integrity, be Great Collaborators, to Respect
themselves and others, and to have great Stewardship. Thank you for partnering with us on all
these traits, as we all believe they are best for our students.

As the school year opens, I encourage all parents and guardians to remain connected to us by
communicating with us frequently. We promise to do our best to quickly respond to comments,
questions, compliments, and even concerns. We strive to be partners with all of you as we
teach and care for your children. I also encourage parents to get involved if they have the time.
Join and participate with the PTA of your child’s school. Attend school events. Support the
Buckeye Education Foundation. Join a booster group, such as the Buckeye Music Boosters or
the Buckeye Athletic Boosters. The more support and involvement from parents these groups
receive, the better the school experience is for the students.
